TIP #160   This tip was sent on the week: 18th - 23th May, 2008

I want Translator to let specific words go untranslated.
How can I do this?

This Tip applies to the following products:

There are two old methods and one new one implemented in our most recent Free Upgrade, version 5.1, for this week.

The three methods for keeping words from being translated are:

  1. For Translator Professional and the Suites Deluxe & Premier: When in Interactive Mode, select the “Literal” option on the tag bar in the lower half of the interactive window.
  1. Or alternatively, put the word or group of words between [square brackets]
  1. New! For versions 5.1 and up: Select the word and right-click. Select the ‘Do Not Translate Selected Word’ option
