TIP #281   This tip was sent on the week: October 10th to October 16th 2010

Tip #281 - What’s the purpose of the new function Polysemic Display?

This function –available only in the Plus version-- should be used “with caution” and only in the following cases:

    1. When you are not satisfied with the translation obtained in the Automatic or Interactive mode

    2. When you want to explore possible alternative word meanings in your sentence

    3. When the input text (in Spanish) has no diacritical accents at all and this is resulting in a bad translation, as in the following example:

El vino muy contento = The very happy wine

In this case, the pronoun “El’ was incorrecty written without its accent.

Now, press the Polysemic Display icon and you will simultaneously get:

1} The very happy wine
2} He came very happy

Just click on number (2) and you get the correct translation!
